(Scicli, February 14 th 2009) – Meeting with SHIHAN MASARU MIURA
On Saturday morning, 14th february 2009, we had the honor of hosting Shihan Masaru Miura, black belt 9° dan (see biography) with his staff: M° Domenico Ruta (black belt 5° dan, from Ispica), M° Aldo Milazzo (black belt 5° dan, from Palermo), M° Antonino Giannì (black belt 3°dan, from Scicli) and a delegation of black belts from Palermo’s, Ispica’s, Modica’s and Scicli’s Federations of SKI.
They partecipated at the meeting with the 30 students on the course of “The Physics of Karate” with a hundred other students.
1) in the auditorium where, after the greetings of Prof. Ignazio Inclimona (School Principal), the Mayor of Scicli, Giovanni Venticinque, the Shihan, with his collaborators, answered the students’ questions. Then prof. Gianino illustrated the course “The Physics of Karate” and the activity of the wandering workshop.
2) Then in the gym the Shihan with his collaborators and the delegation of black belts continued to explain the principles and the aims of karate with practical demonstrations
