Study of the physics laws applied to the karate techniques trying to understand how karate works and for physical optimizations of human movement.

This is a didactic project aiming at developing the critical sense by spotting and checking experimentally the laws and principles of Physics involved in the actions of our body and at presenting Physics not as a subject as an end in itself but as a powerful research mean to know and understand the laws that regulate nature, focusing on the cultural richness and the great versatility of the basic theme object of this study, just through its application in an unusual branch different from traditional school and academic ones.
The method used is “to do” in order “to learn”
The topic of this survey research is Karate–do, the art of fighting developed in the Okinawa island.
The ideogram is made up of three parts, the former and the latter “kara-te” mean “empty hand”, the third part means “way, walk”.
In conformity with the Zen spirit it means: “ the walk of one‘s knowledge through the practice of karate”
